Dial-up Internet Connection & Email -
Setup for Windows 2000
This setup is only for BAM Internet
customers who are using the Windows 2000 dial-up networking.
DO
NOT follow these instructions if your are using
a different operating system.
You may want to print out these
instructions.
Step #1
Select the Start button, then
Programs, then Accessories, then
Communications then the Network and Dial-up
Connections option.

Step #2
Double-click the Make New
Connection icon from the window that is presented.
Step #3
Select the Next
button.

Step #4
Select Dial-up to the Internet and
then click Next.

Step #5
Select I want to set up my Internet
connection manually... and then click Next.

Step #6
Select I connect through a phone line and a
modem and then click Next.

Step #7
Enter the dialup phone number and then click
Next.
Step #8
Enter your login username and password
and then click Next.

Step #9
Enter "BAM Internet" as the
connection name and then click Next.

Step #10
You can now choose to setup an email account now, if
not you can select No and finish the process. To setup your
mail account now, select the Yes option and click on the
Next button.

Step #11
You may be prompted with the following screen
depending on your previous configuration. To continue creating a new
email
account please select Create a new Internet mail account and
then click
Next.

Step #12
Enter your name the way you wish people to see
it and click Next.

Step #13
Enter your email address and click
Next.

Step #14
Enter "mail.bam.on.ca" as your mail server
names and click Next.

Step #15
Enter your mailbox POP3 account name and
password and
then click Next.

Step #16
Click on Finish to complete the
setup.
